Yoga for Children

Fun, love and joy — from age five

Starting yoga early in life makes a big difference in growth and development. Hatha Yoga for children represents yoga through the exploration of fun, love and joy. This is done through simple age-appropriate asanas that enhance life and offer a unique opportunity for every child to experience the joyful flowering of their natural potential, optimal health and inner peace. What we can do for children is to create the best possible environment for their growth — to tickle them to grow on their own in their natural way.

There are various processes and modules of Sadhguru Gurukulam Hatha Yoga for children that become available between the ages of 5 and 14. At the age of 14, the entire spectrum of Sadhguru Gurukulam Hatha Yoga can be adopted. The processes adapted for children include Upa Yoga, Angamardana, Surya Shakti, Nadi Shuddhi, Thoppukarnam, Yoga Namaskar, and Nada and Mantra Yoga, offered in various modules with play.

In Other Words…

If you already have a child, all you need to do is create an atmosphere full of love, support and liveliness. There is really nothing to teach. What you know about life that the child does not know is only the tricks of the world — how to survive and how to earn a living. These tricks should not be taught to children too early; they will learn them later. When a young tree is growing, in the first years the flowers should be plucked so that the sapling does not burden itself with fruit production but directs all its energy into growth and development. Sadhguru Gurukulam Hatha Yoga will help children to grow well without any specific intention — to be healthy, joyful, intelligent and lively beings.
